“Reaffirming Iran as the largest sponsor of terrorism”

Representative Mast is sponsoring a bill that would codify Iran as “the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism and provides substantial financial and military support to groups, including Hezbolla, Hamas, and Houthis.”
The bill further claims that Iran is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American citizens….according to the Pentagon, Iranian backed proxy militias are responsible for the deathsof at least 603 United States service members in Iraq, roughly 1 in every 6 American combat fatalities in Iraq from 2003 through 2011.” The bill text also notates Iran’s refusal to abandon its nuvlear program, as well as its responsibility (by proxy) for the deaths of U.S. Servicemembers Sergeant William Jerome Rivers, Kennedy Landon Sanders, and Breonna Alexsondria Moffett as additional reason for the U.S. designation of Iran as a state sponsor of terrorism.
