Representative Christian Menefee is being tapped by House to join one of their standing committees on Science, Space, and Technology.
Perhaps it is because he was elected to his position so quickly that his website is lacking any real information on his background (as of the publishing of this post) or his political stance on relevant issues, as he won in a special election prompted by the passing of Representative Sylvester Turner of Texas.

Currently, the bill has passed the House with no objections. Representative Menefee’s position on the Committee for Science, Space and Technology will rank immediately behind Representative Josh Riley of New York.
